Duct tape is a strong cloth tape often used for temporary and semi-permanent patching of flexible materials, and useful for holding groups of heavy cables together. Not electrically conductive. Easily torn across the width and length but very tough in all other directions and under pulling force.

As the name suggests, duct tape can be used to secure ducting and similar metal sheet arrangements on a temporary basis. Do not use in situations where tape failure could cause injury.
