My experience with video production began in 2007, when I started working at a television studio, as a camera operator and editor. I had been studying video production for around three years, by then. In the years since, I took over handheld camera on every studio production that needed one, favoring the freedom of the handheld camera over the smooth but limited movement of the studio pedestal and crane.
After a shoot, I was often straight down to the edit suites to cut and polish. Speed and accuracy are crucial in a broadcast environment, and I learned it there first. We used Final Cut Studio, back then, and I've used it to cut panel shows, sporting events, concerts and more for national broadcast and DVD release, training materials for large institutions like the UK National Health Service and promotional videos for local businesses and other projects. I migrated to Premiere Pro in 2010, and began working on private projects, weddings, short films and independent music videos, out of studio. I am also able to work with DaVinci Resolve and digital audio workstations like Reaper and Logic Pro.
