Solder

WARNING:

Wear eye and hand protection when soldering. The iron will get extremely hot and can cause serious burns. Hot solder can splash like water and cause serious eye damage.

Some solder has lead content. Avoid using this kind of solder unless it is necessary, in which case, use in a well ventilated area and wear breathing protection. Gases given off from leaded solder are extremely toxic.

Information

Solder is a metal mix that is used to join electrical cables and components together to create circuits. You may find use for it in many places, when building your van's electrical systems.

To solder, you need a Soldering Iron, an Iron Stand and a roll of solder, at the least. Other accessories can help a lot, such as Helping Hands.

"Educational, Inspirational And Very Funny"

I've had the privilege of following Burtman.net, over the years, with all the exciting things it's been adding. I enjoy the stories while sipping endless cups of tea, as I've learned from Burtman. I love diving into his ridiculous scenarios and getting infected by his road trip religion. Everything's accessible and relatable (even technical stuff) and shows how making mistakes leads to learning. I'm inspired by that. I'm always left with a big smile on my face and I always want to return. - Natku
